As we look at what the Bible has to say about families, we quickly realize how far many of our cultural trends are from God's will for families.

The pressure on our children - particularly our teenagers - to do whatever is necessary to be "popular" among their friends is sometimes difficult for parents to understand and appreciate. Our young people are often caught up in destructive lifestyles and behaviors which encourage rebelliousness and disdain for life and the dignity of their fellow human beings.

Whatever Your Age There's a Bible Study Group for You

All the things discussed above give our Christian Education program here at Mt.Calvary its "raison d'etre" - its purpose, its reason to exist. We have activities for young and old, singles and married couples. They include serious Bible study, less serious fun and games,  music, community involvement, fund-raising, outings for seniors and mission trips for youth. We're determined to give folks meaningful alternatives to what much of society offers them day in and day out.

And we believe Christian families need to make every-Sunday worship an absolute priority. As families are gathered by God around His Word and Sacraments, they receive forgiveness, life and salvation - the strength they need to cope with the challenges of daily life.

Consider taking a step forward in faith this week by getting involved in one our many Bible study groups.
